Hello SouL Dance Family!

Is 2023 really almost over?? Bring on December and the cool weather!

There are so many things to be grateful for and so many things we've accomplished together in 2023! Thank you for making our studio your home for dancing.

On that token, I'd love to spotlight some of the beautiful dancers who have recently joined the SouL Dance family.

Welcome New SouL Dance Members!

Please welcome Mariya, Allen and Deborah to the SouL Dance Family! You may have already met them at some of the group events, and we are thrilled to have them joining us!

Meet Allen: After a 25-year hiatus, Allen has returned to dancing with a beautiful story about meeting his wife, and getting married, in a dance studio back in 1987. After college and 11 years in the Army, Allen is now retired from the Reserve and his tenure with the federal government! We’re so glad he’s back on the dance floor and excited to see his joy every time he dances!

Meet Mariya: Born in Odesa, Ukraine, Mariya started dancing at the age of 5 (folk dancing) but hasn’t taken dance lessons since she took ballroom from the ages of 10-12. In addition to learning pole dancing, Mariya is currently preparing with Sanda for a choreographed routine that she will turn into a bachata video. We’re enthusiastic about this fun project with Mariya!

Meet Deborah: Deborah is a highly accomplished Mezzo and Soprano vocal talent. From the Opera stage to the Pops and Musical Theatre stage, she is a celebrated artist with an amazing voice. She has now immersed herself into the wonderful world of dance at SouL Dance Studio and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to have her with us. As Deborah says,

“Dancing gives an opportunity for personal health and wellness — physically, mentally, emotionally, and congnitively. Give yourself the opportunity to infinitely expand holistically and better your soul, one step at a time.”

December Showcases

December is a great time to display the skills and techniques you’ve learned all year. And on that token, SouL Dance is participating in a few holiday shows.

If you missed these, don’t worry. Mark your calendars for January, March, and April. We’ve got plenty of showcase opportunities coming up!

Dancing showcases are an exciting chance to choreograph a routine with your favorite song and share your passion for dance and performance with others.

Weekly Group Classes

As usual, I'll be in Jacksonville for the first part of December, but I'll be back by Wednesday to start our new Advanced Cha-Cha group class!

We'll also continue our intermediate bachata classes on Tuesdays and Salsa/Bachata combo on Fridays.

Private appointments are filling up quickly so reach out soon! Please note that I'll be taking a vacation from December 23rd to January 3rd.
